Sermon Text: Habakkuk 1:2-5

Memory Verse: Psalm 37:7 “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.”

This Week’s Word: “Patience” - implies suffering, enduring, or waiting, as a determination of the will and not simply under necessity. Wee need to wait patiently for God, endure uncomplainingly the various forms of suffering, wrongs, and evils that we meet with, and to bear patiently injustices which we cannot remedy and provocations we cannot remove.

I. Habakkuk had become annoyed.

God arranged it.

II. Habakkuk was astonished.

Habakkuk claimed that justice had gone awry.

III. The Lord answered Habakkuk’s prayer.
